To produce this report, Site Measurement matches a browser's known referring domain information to Site Measurement's table of known search engines. Unknown Search Engines will appear in the "Referring Domain" report. Use this report to determine which search engines are performing best for your site and when to resubmit your site.

Search Engine Keywords / Phrases

This report details the most common keywords and phrases used to find a site. The report details keywords and the number of times browsers used these words to reach your site (also expressed as a percentage of total occurrences). Please note, however - if a visiting browser comes from a search engine that is not listed in Site Measurement's directory of search engines, or if Site Measurement is not able to parse keywords from that search engine, they will not be incremented in this report. This report is vital for Web site managers to gain insight into and optimize how search engines bring in visitors and index their sites. Marketers can gain an understanding of their target audience's mindset by seeing how this audience categorizes and finds their site.
